The Mauvewoods.

You can’t hope to see the crown of a mauvewood tree from the ground. It took a day just to climb to the top of the oldest trees.

Look past the undergrowth and ghosts can be spotted on the old lumber paths. Every ghost you see used to live in a mauvewood tree. Knock on a healthy tree, and you just might hear a hollow wooden knock in answer.

This zine details a forest, a town, and a dungeon, all intended for use with the tabletop roleplaying game: Cairn. Explore a forest full of lumberjacks, maple syrup, and strange ghosts. Delve into an old mansion sinking into a marsh. Confront the Exalted Order Of The Mystic Moose.

30 pages describe a unique forest ecosystem, 11 locations, 3 factions, around 22 npcs/creatures, a 20 room dungeon, and a number of weird items and relics. Random tables help with fleshing out the setting.

I'm running this next week and have read through it a couple of times. It looks fantastic.

This adventure looks so very, very good. The art is fantastic. The writing is tight and evocative. The ecosystem of the forest and creatures are well thought out and rich with unique details. The factions are at odds with each other in interesting ways, have solid motivations, and are tied in well to the more independent inhabitants spread throughout the forest.

The long owls really creep me out, but I don't have much else to complain about here. I really hope I can find the time to run this adventure soon.
