Checkmörk
A downloadable rpg
Deep in chambers beneath Galgenbeck, two armies fight eternally. Produced by some forgotten magic; the soldiers are golems made of flesh and marble. Are they truly meant for war, or are they designed for some twisted game?
Checkmörk is a collection of chess themed enemies for MÖRK BORG. I've provided a mini-zine format, and a single page format both in US Letter. If you would like some other format let me know and I'll try to make it!
I made this for the #MiniZineJam2020. I haven't had time to playtest them yet. When I do, I will update the mini-zine with any changes. If you have a chance to playtest it, I'd love to hear your input!
Make sure to print without any margins.
Fold horizontally and vertically. Fold the long ways in half again. Cut the center dark line. Finish folding the zine.
Checkmörk is an independent production by Jacob Marks and is not affiliated with Ockult Örtmästare Games or Stockholm Kartell. It is published under the MÖRK BORG Third Party License.

The mini-zine is difficult to master but Jacob has perfected the art with this one. Checkmork is an instant classic <3
Thank you so much! I feel that is much more praise than this deserves XD
These guys just BEG for a Mörk Borg tomb lich adventure. I'm feeling it.
A dungeon for them is gonna be my next project :D
Awesome, they feel like they could use a dungeon! Looking forward to it!
Hey, did you make a dungeon for this? I'd love to run it with this zine!
Something breaks in my brain a little bit when I see Mörk Borg content and immediately think of it as "cute". Nevertheless, I am a big fan of both Mörk Borg and the mini zine format, and this is a fantastic example of both.
Yeah the pawn and rook especially ended up cuter than I was imagining at first XD
I tried to make up for it with the others a bit.
Thanks!
